Chapter 1: Freak Brothers

I found myself going back and reading Sugar Alpha, as a reader this time and not a writer! I am so fond of my family’s history in skydiving that Chapter One made me well up all over again. I’ve heard that these historical chapters read slow to some readers, but to me, these are the most precious. So I wanted to share a glimpse into the past. This photo was captured by a local Illinois newspaper Circa 1969, of my grandfather and uncle learning to sport parachute jump.
