  • 2025 Dates: January 9-11, 16-18, 23-25; February 6-8, 13-15, 20-22; March 6-8, 13-15, 20-22
  • Friday’s 5-9p; Saturday’s 8a-6p; Sunday’s 8a-2p
  • Once registered, the pre-requisites and itinerary will be emailed along with suggested readings (all suggested readings are not included).
  • A manual is included and provided on the first day of class
  • Must stay and be present in person or virtually for the full immersions to sign up and to get the appropriate credit to complete the course

What is the Intention of the YTT?

Our mission is to create a space where new instructors feel confident to being their instructional journey, and those more curious about yoga will deepen their practice.

Who Are the Instructors?

The Lead Instructors are:

Melissa Nelson earned her 200-Hr Yoga Teacher Training certificate at White Lotus Foundation in late 2007, has logged over 2,000 hours of teaching yoga, is also Yoga Trapeze and Yin certified, we well as working towards her 500-Hr Yoga Teacher Training certificate. She is also a certified Personal Training and long-time professional skydiver. Melissa teaches a Hatha Flow, but is versed in Vinyasa and Iyegar as she resonates with moving with breath as well as alignment.

What is the Program Curriculum?

Yoga House’s 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training syllabus meets and exceeds Yoga Alliance who has minimum standards. Yoga House has added additional requirements to create a more in-depth training to help new instructors feel more prepared to begin their teaching journey. We will cover the following:

  • Techniques, Training & Practice
  • Teaching Methodology
  • Anatomy & Physiology
  • Yoga Philosophy, Ethics & Lifestyle
  • Business of Yoga
  • Practicum

Do You Have to Attend Every Day?

Yes. Yoga House is an approved training school and the requirements to meet the minimum training hours, one MUST attend every session in its entirety.

What is the Schedule Like?

The schedule is:

  • Friday’s 5p-9p
  • Saturday’s 8a-6p
  • Sunday’s 8a-2p

On these following weekend dates:

  • January 9-11, 16-18, 23-25
  • February 6-8, 13-15, 20-22
  • March 6-8, 13-15, 20-22

There is approximately 20 hours of hOMework in between the immersions including reading, recording your flows, and writing and will also require ability to access Google Drive.

Is There a Payment Plan?

Yes! We recognize that paying full up front isn’t as accessible to some so we recommend to pay the $500 deposit and reach out to us to set up a customized payment plan.

What experience or pre-requisites are necessary to sign up?

There is no experience necessary to register for the Yoga Teacher Training course. The entire training will cover everything you need to know to meet the requirements as long as you to attend the immersions in full, complete the 20-hour at home assignments, and participate to complete the necessary work during the training to graduate.

What does the course include?

The Yoga Teacher Training will include 200+ hours of training that exceeds the Yoga Alliance requirements. You will receive a course syllabus on the first day of the course that will help guide you through the training. In addition, you will be given a link to access the Course’s Google Drive to submit other hOMework.

What is not included:

After a participant registers for the course, there will be a list of suggested books sent. These books are at the participant’s expense. You are more than welcome to share, but it is highly encouraged to have your own. There will be breaks during the course that will allow for adequate time for lunch and dinner which are at the participant’s expense. Travel are also the participant’s responsibility. If traveling in, please reach out to us to secure your accommodations. 

Do other Yoga Alliance trainings count towards the this 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training?

Unfortunately, no. Our school requires training with specific content within certain categories in specific context. HOWEVER – after earning your teacher training certificate, any recognized Yoga Alliance trainings may be counted towards Continuing Education credits which Yoga Alliance mandates.
